The 2020 edition of the World Music Day has been commemorated in the world and particularly in Cameroon without the usual pomp and fanfare in the face of the Coronavirus pandemic causing havoc worldwide.

The coronavirus pandemic is said to have had a tremendous impact on the music industry in Cameroon, with artist having to pay a huge price for the sudden and long interuption in their activities imposed by the presence of the virus.

Added to that is the passing on to glory of some of these artists, including the legendary saxophonist, Manu Dibango, Ntoumba Minka, of recent, Nguea Laroute and Claude Ndam.
