Cameroon this Tuesday September 29 joins the rest of the international community to commemorate the World Heart Day, created to inform people around the globe that CVD, including heart disease and stroke, is the world’s leading cause of death, claiming 17.9 million lives each year, and highlights the actions that individuals can take to prevent and control CVD.

In Cameroon, the day is observed with a call from medical officials to patients with heart problems to a more healthy lifestyle.
