Custom officials in Cameroon have been enjoined to go beyond their traditional mission of raising customs revenue and work towards protecting the economy from the importation of ilicit products.

The Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Motaze was speaking this Tuesday at the Yaounde I Military airbase during a ceremony to commemorate the 2020 INternational Customs Day organised under the theme “Customs fostering sustainability for people prosperity and the planet”.
