Close to 40 bodies have been so far reportedly retrieved from the rubble at the scene of the Landslide that occurred in the Bafoussam III Sub-Division, Mifi Division of Cameroon’s West region. The bodies have been taken to the Bafoussam Regional Hospital Mortuary, meanwhile rescue operation has intensified under the supervision of West Governor Awa Fonka Augustin. Reports say Territorial Administration Minister Paul Atanga Nji has been dispatched to the scene by President Biya to assist the situation on the ground. He is due to hold a crisis meeting with Administrative and local authorities by 6pm.
