Cameroon today joins the rest of the globe to celebrate World Radio Day.
The day was set aside by UNESCO to mark the achievements of radio stations in fostering sustainable development through dissemination of information, and promotion of freedom of expression across cultures.
In most journalism schools in Yaounde as well as radio houses, activities like round table conferences have been organised to reflect on the achievements of Radio stations around the world and to ponder on ways the radio can be used to promote diversity in the newsroom and on the airwaves.
