Authorities have said calm has returned to Douala after over two days of violence orchestrated by armed gangs. The different groups of gangs are reported to have stormed the streets of Douala Friday November 1, 2019, terrorising the population with machetes, knifes and other sharp objects. Reacting to this deviant behaviour, the Governor of the Littoral region Samuel Diedonne Ivaha Diboua sensitized the youths on the advantages of peace and living together, and urged them to respect the law.
