The Cameroon National Episcipal Conference has called for a free and transparent election in Cameroon on October 7 as Cameroonians go to the pools to elect a new President.

The Bishops urged in a letter that this is the opportunity for all Cameroonians to express themselves freely by choosing the candidate able to provide just and sustainable solutions to their expectations.

They said their position on the election will be read out in church on Sunday as they called for Cameroonians to remain calm and show a sense of responsibility.
