Detainees of the Anglophone crisis Wednesday August 5 protested at the Yaounde Kondengui prison following the death of Thomas Tangem, inmate who was chained to his hospital bed till he died.

According to reports, the inmates demanded explanations from prison authorities they accuse of having neglected Thomas’ health.

Early Wednesday August 5, Thomas died after suffering from an ilness he lived with for months in prison after which he was rushed to the Yaounde Central Hospital when his health situation worsened.
