The Adamawa region in Cameroon is reported to have witnessed a sharp increase in the number of Coronavirus infections, from 14 cases in mid-June to sixty-eight as at June 25.

The regional delegate for public health has blamed the trend on the irresponsible behaviour of some inhabitants in the region and the recent three T-strategy (track, test, treat) adopted.

He has however called for stricter compliance with anti-COVID-19 barrier measures.
