About ten teaching staff are reported to have gone missing since October 5 in the North-West region of Cameroon.

According to the “Collectif des enseignants indignés”, Seydou Mbangyah, headmaster of the Baba1 Bilingual High School in Ngoketunjia, Chayi Sungha, steward at GBHS Baba1 and Ntam Yuh, headmaster at Bambui high school in the Mezam are amongst the missing teachers.

Armed groups operating in the region are suspected to be behind these disappearances.
