The Minister of Territorial Administration Paul Atanga Nji has called Elections Observers to deposit their applications for accreditations ahead of the February 9, 2020 Legislative and Municipal elections.

This move is to ensure that elections are held in all transparency in polling centres.

During the October 2018 Presidential elections, it was alleged that Minister Atanga Nji invited fake Transparency International election observers who disclosed the elections were transparent in all the polling centres.

According to reports, Transparency International later said it did not send observers in Cameroon.
