The 2020 African Boxing Championship Zone 3 begins this Monday January 27 in Cameroon’s political capital Yaounde.

The competition will be staged from the 27th of January to the 2nd of February at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex.

According to reports, more than a hundred boxers from fifteen countries are expected to compete in eight weight loss categories of amateur boxing in the men’s and women’s categories.

On her part, Cameroon will present several boxers with the competition serving as a preparatory event for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics African qualifiers in Dakar.
