Americans are waking up for the second day without a presidential election result. As FRANCE 24’s senior reporter Francois Picard reports, the race is tightening in the remaining states to be counted. In Pennsylvania, Donald Trump has a lead of 140,000 votes, with 400,000 votes remaining, including Philadelphia which is expected to heavily favour Joe Biden. If Trump loses Pennsylvania, the president has no path to victory. Meanwhile, votes in Arizona originally pointed to a Biden victory, but have since narrowed. The same story is the same in Nevada, where Biden’s lead has shrunk to 8,000 votes with major cities, which could favour Trump, yet to be counted.
