Belgian company Besix Group has announced that it has won the contract for the design and construction of the Nachtigal hydropower plant in Cameroon.

This infrastructure will have a capacity of 420MW and will be built in the Centre region. According to the World Bank, engaged in this project through the International Finance Corporation (IFC), it will increase the country’s production capacity by 30%. The work will start before the end of this year and will last 57 months. The total cost of this project is 656 billion FCFA.
