Four teachers of the Government Bilingual High School, Jakiri and one Elecam employee in Mbiame have been released from the Secretariat of State for Defence, SED.

The detainees whose names we got as Tani Gilbert, Ayene Hycinth, Shyla Aloysius, Tanko, Blaise and Abdu Raman were released after spending months in prison.

While welcoming the detainees, the Jakiri community sang songs of praise and prayed that other arrested Anglophones be released. The liberated teachers were arrested and detained under charges related to the Anglophone crisis.
