75 young farmers from the Littoral region have just joined the New Generation program set up by the cocoa-coffee inter-branch.
This project aims to rejuvenate the aging population of cocoa farmers. For 3 years, these young men will have to create each, three hectares of cacao, at least; which corresponds to an overall area of 225 hectares of new cocoa plantations. They will be accompanied for three years by the Interprofessional Council of Cocoa and Coffee (Cicc), which offers them everything necessary to engage in cocoa-culture, except land and labor. They received their installation kits on March 2, 2018.
