The indomitable lionesses of Cameroon have defeated their ivorian counterparts two goals to one to cross through the fourth round qualifiers of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and qualified for the last round where they will face Zambia. The girls of Alain Djeumfa edged their Ivorian counterparts in an epic match played this afternoon at the Yaounde Omnisport Stadium. The first goal came from Charlene Meyong Menene during the first half and permited Cameroon to preserve the leading position before Cote d’Ivoire scored her opener some few minutes into the second half. The second goal that confirmed Cameroon’s win came from a penalty converted into a goal by Nchout Njoya Ajara five minutes to the end of the game.
