Cameroon’s 2019 draft budget stands at FCFA 4850,5 billion as against FCFA 4.689.5 billion in 2018. It indicates an increase of FCFA 161 billion.

According to finance experts, the increased budget is due to the organisation of municipal elections, AFCON 2019 and recruitment of 200 lecturers which the government intends to carry out in 2019.
