Nestle Cote d’Ivoire, a subsidiary of the Swiss food group Nestlé, has made a net profit of more than 20 billion CFA francs, the company said Wednesday in a statement reporting on the ordinary general meeting of Nestlé Côte d’Ivoire in the presence of the Board of Directors and shareholders on June 4.“For the first time in a decade, the profit achieved will allow the distribution of dividends to shareholders at a rate of 363,665 CFA francs net per share,” the release added.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this ordinary general meeting was held virtually. “In accordance with legal procedures, shareholders were able to exercise their voting rights through a platform on the texts of resolutions proposed by the Board of Directors,” the text noted.

The activities in 2020 took place in a relatively difficult social and economic environment, marked by an unprecedented health crisis linked to the pandemic.

“Thanks to the relevance and effectiveness of the recovery measures initiated by management to curb the effects of the health crisis, the commercial and financial results confirm a very good performance, thus showing Nestle Cote d’Ivoire’s resilience,” the text continues.

“The company’s various product categories have experienced very good growth thanks to a strategy focused on the consumer and innovation,” said Nestle Cote d’Ivoire, noting that the year 2020 was resolutely a “green” year focused on sustainable development.
