The Divisional Officer of Ndi sub division in the North West region of Cameroon, has reminded residents to respect the curfew set imposed on the region as a result of the security concerns.
Shuaibu Ibrahim in a communiqué warned residents of Ndu to stay indoors during curfew hours to avoid any unfortunate incident that may occur.
According to the Divisional Officer, the warning comes after unfortunate scenes that saw armed men attack and kill a soldier on guard last week in Mbiyer, a neighbourhood in Ndu.
The Divisional Officer therefore warned that any resident caught violating the curfew order imposed by the Governor months ago will be treated as an armed assaillant by security forces.
It should be recalled that the Governornopr of the North West Region Adolphe Lele LAflrique signed a regional order on February 10, 2018 restricting movement of persons and property in the region from 9pm to 5.am.
