In one of his first official outings to the diaspora since he was appointed as the Minister Delegate at the Ministry of External relations tasked the Cameroonian diaspora in Australia to strive for peace, national unity and intergration.
He was speaking to them on the sidelines of the Commonwealth Games as well as the meeting of the Commonwealth Enterprise and council.
Minister Felix Mbayu used the opportunity to meet with Cameroonians in Melbourne-many of whom are highly skilled professionals in the Banking, Information Technology, Teaching and Medical sectors- and brief them on the current socio-political and climate in Cameroon.

The Head of State’s message of peace, national unity and integration was re-echoed to the Cameroonian diaspora by HE Felix Mbayu who also used the opportunity to encourage them to re-invest their expertise to Cameroon which is always ready to welcome them.
“They have reiterated their committment to the Head of State, Paul Biya and believe he is the only one who can put an end to the (Anglophone) crisis,” Felix Mbayu said.
His call was welcomed by those of the medical and IT fields who expressed their urgent and fervent determination to deploy the know how back in Cameroon in their patriotic bid to contribute towards the development of Cameroon.
They alo pleaded with the President of the Republic to create an Honorary Consulate of Cameroon in Melbourne were there is a sizeable colony of Cameroonians.
For an event at short notice, the Minister praised the turn out and enthusiasm of the Cameroonian diaspora in Australia and promised to give a voice to all their wishes .
