The inhabitants of Towe in Limbe and the general population have been urged to support and preserve the development vision of the Limbe City Council as it goes ahead to modernise the city.

The call came from the Government Delegate to the Limbe City Council, Motanga Andrew Monjimba during the occasion to launch the duo project of the Limbe City Council in 2017. The project involves the tarring of CDE junction to Towe quarter as well grading and construction of drainages on the road from the Central Police Station through Bakoko to Unity Quarter.

The beautification of the Limbe regional hospital at Mile I and other projects in line with his vision to modernise the city are also on course. This was during a symbolic occasion Saturday July 8, 2017 on the project site at CDE junction to mark the take-off of the construction proper.

The Government Delegate revealed that the CDE Towe major road infrastructure has been contracted to KJBTP Sarl on a huge sum of FCFA 994.411.815 within an 8-month deadline while the Central Police Station to Unity Quarter road was also contracted to SEMIC BTP at the cost of FCFA 248.998.740 to be completed on a 6-month deadline. FCFA 94 million has equally been budgeted for Etombi Enterprise to beautify the regional hospital at Mile I within 6 months.

Motanga Andrew Monjimba said the projects are quite costly but the population of Limbe deserves them giving their constant support to the City Council and the State for development.

In his remarks, the presiding civil administrator, outgoing Fako SDO, Zang III called on the people of Towe in particular and the Limbe public in general to continue to support and preserve the peace, stability and infrastructural development of the Limbe City Council for the government to forge ahead in transforming the city into a modern metropolis. Both the SDO and the Government Delegate recounted a battery of development projects realised by the Limbe City Council from 2009 to 2012. The people equally promised to take care of their road.
