Mourners in Kumba who turned up for the burial of Antonia Tiguh, an eight-year-old, whom the Minister’s convoy knocked dead, last week have said only the provision of potable water will best immortalise the youngster.

To the mourners, since Tiguh died on her way to fetch water, the provision of potable water would be the best thing to give to the community to immortalise her with.

During the burial ceremony on Friday June 16 at Mabonji on the outskirts of Kumba, many administrative and political authorities who attended the event took turns in expressing regrets over the mishap, The Post Newspaper reports.

They all assured the family and community of the Minister’s readiness and the powers that be to work towards immortalising the accident victim.

Meanwhile family members of the late Tiguh said they are gradually coming to terms with the fact that it was an accident.

It should be recalled that, the deceased was the victim of a Tuesday June 13 road accident involving Basic Education Minister’s convoy,Youssouf Adoum née Hadidja Alim.  She was on her way to inspect the 2017 First School Leaving Certificate Exams, FSLC.
