This was during a solemn mass organised by HisLorship Jean Mbarga, Archbishop of the Yaounde Metropolitan Cathedral  on Easter Saturday within the confines of the maximum security prison.

It was an opportrunity to see most of the former Ministers and Director Generals who have been in prison for embezzlement and misappropriation of public funds.

In his homily to the inmates as they prepared for the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Mgr. Jean Mbarga told them not to despait and believe in Jesus Christ who is risen as the only saviour who could take them out of their misery.

« The Lord who di dit for you yesterday and today will surely do it for you tomorrow, » Mgr. Jean Mbarga told them.

From Gervais Mendoà Ze, Williams Solo, Chief Ephraim Inoni,Jean Baptiste Nguini Effa, the VIP inmates all appeared well dressed in serene conditions.

It was also the first time former Minister of Water and Energy Basile Atangana Kouna was seen in public after he was brought back to the country and thrown in Kondengui following a failed attempt to escape.
