It has been over a week since the Fon of Oku His Majesty, Sentieh II Martin Yosimbom was kidnapped and his whereabouts unknown but his abductors have reportedly tabled a set of conditions for his release.
Since he was kidnappers, elites of Oku have been mobilising to secure his release with all eyes turned on the Prime Minister Philemon Yang who is also from Oku.
However, sources say the kidnappers have presented a set of conditions to be met before the fon can be released from captivity.
These conditions have been presented a note reportedly addressed to the private Secretary of the Prime Minister, detailed in ten points.
Amongst some of the points presented, the kidnappers are demanding the withdrawal of the military from Oku, the Fon should apologise to the people for his declarations and call for a reconciliatory meeting and the Prime Minister should “act fast”.
However, sources say the Prime Minister has distanced himself from any negotiations though the President of the Oku Cultural and Development Association says they will mobilise to release the Fon.
