The Government Teachers Training College, GTTC Ndop in the North West Region of Cameroon was in the early hours of Saturday morning burnt down by unknown men, sources have confirmed.
Residents who reside around the area confirmed the fire broke out at about 1.00am on Saturday consuming a greater majority of the school’s building before it was put off to avoiding spreading to neighbouring buildings.
The cause of the fire is still unknown with several sources talk of an arson attack from unidengtified men who had warned authorities of the school.
It is alleged the school hosted a political meeting of the ruling CPDM party organised by Honorable Njinguh Musa, CPDM MP for Ngoketunjia North Constituency.
This is the latest case of arson on schools in a long list since the Anglophone crisis broke out at the end of 2016.
