At six five persons have gone missing in the Bamendjing Lake in Bambalang in the North West Region following a heavy down pour on Monday morning in that part oof the country.
The six persons, including two pregnant women drowned when a fishing boat capsized in the lake. The victimns are all members of the same family according to sources.
The heavy winds that accompanied the rains that morning is said to have led to the capsize of the boat. Fishermen immediately launched a search for the corpses which were later retrived from the lake and kept at the mortuatry.
Bambalang is one of four villages in Ndop Central and one of the 13 villages that make up the Ngoketunjia Division.
