The administrative unit of the Government Bilingual High School in Ndop, North West Region of Cameroon was at the weekend burnt down by unknown men, sources have confirmed.

According to sources, unknown men arrived the campus just past 11pm on Saturday night before setting fire on the building and taking off.

Residents who were alerted struggles and put off the fire to prevent it from extending to classrooms but the administrative block had already been razed to ashes.

Last year, an attempt on the school was aborted after the timely intervention of security forces who were on alert to chase away the arsonists.

Last weekend’s arson attack comes on the back of another attack at the Ndop prison last month that saw the penitentiary building razed to ashes and about 163 prisoners freed.
