The President of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo has expressed gratitude for the support and relief from his Cameroonian counterpart, Paul Biya after a series of devastating blasts at an army camp in the country’s largest city, Bata.

Equatorial Guinea’s top authority was speaking Tuesday March 16 while receiving a delegation dispatched by Paul Biya on a humanitarian assistance mission to the country Monday March 15.

The delegation led by the Minister Delegate in charge of Defence, Joseph Beti Assomo and Paul Atanga Nji of Territorial Administration arrived Equatorial Guinea’s capital city Bata this Tuesday March 16 with a consignment of relief material and food stuffs.

More than 98 are said to have died and more than 600 others injured after multiple explosions occurred at a military camp in Equatorial Guinea’s largest city, Bata last Sunday March 7.

Besides Cameroon, other nations have been sending medical teams and relief material to Equatorial Guinea since it suffered the blasts.
