Cameroon’s Coronavirus deaths have hit the two digits figures after one new victim was confirmed this Wednesday evening, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths to ten.
The information was revealed by officials of the Ministry of Public Health in Cameroon, assessing the situation of the pandemic this Wednesday April 8 in the country.
Besides the rise in deaths, Cameroon equally recorded forty-three more confirmed Coronavirus cases, bringing up the total number of infected persons to seven hundred and thirty out of which six hundred and sixty are active cases.
The virus continues to spread every passing day, with five regions already affected out of Cameroon’s ten regions, including the Centre, Littoral, West, South West and South regions.
Out of the ten deaths, four were recorded in Yaounde, Centre region and six in Douala, Littoral region.
Health experts have warned that the country could witness a drastic upsurge in cases in the next two coming weeks.
