The National Civic Service Agency for Participation in Development has launched a nationwide campaign to train Cameroonian youths on patriotism.

According to the agency officials, 1620 youths will be schooled on professional and moral training, skills to reduce youth unemployment amongst  others as from August 1.

The agency’s top management says, 1000 volunteers will be trained alongside 620 conscripts in Republican values, civic education and patriotism.

The volunteers will be trained for six months in different training centres within their respective regions. It will be an opportunity for young people in quest for further learning in vocational or income generating activities to upgrade their skills, seek sponsorship and create a network.

Cameroonians willing to contribute to overall development of the nation by providing their expertise to carry out community services and volunteering activities in the public and private sectors have also been invited to the programme.

The conscripts on the other hand will be trained for 45 days on moral values, civic responsibility and national integration.
