Catholic Christians in Cameroon have been implored to live up to Christians values. The call was made by His Grace Jean Mbarga during his homily on the feast of assumption yesterday, August 15, in Yaounde.

Speaking to Christians who turned out heavily to celebrate the day, the Prelate called on all Catholic Christians in Cameroon to commit themselves towards renovating sanctuaries.  The Arch Bishop described the sanctuaries as high places of worship where Christians can find refuge, deliverance and blessings through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Prelate also challenged Christians to work and pray for social cohesion, and the enhancement of peace as they celebrate.

Meanwhile, in Bamenda, Chief town of the North West region, Catholic Christians were advised to pray for the country calling for Mary to intercede to her son, Jesus, on behalf of Cameroon.

The Christians were told to work towards the pacification of the country’s English speaking regions as they celebrate the feast of the assumption.
