The Cameropon Water utilities corporation has a new chairman in the person of Patrick Akwa who was elected on Tuesday in Douala.

He was elected in a board meeting that held in Douala on Tuesday after he had been appointed Board member on the same day by the Head of State. He replaces Jerome Obi Eta.

Akwa Patrick who hails from the Menchum Division in the North West Region had previously served as Secretary General of the Ministry of Environment, nature protection and sustainable development before going on retirement.

It is hope his knowledge in the management of environmental resources will help solve the water crisis in most big cities in the country.
