Six people have been killed and over three hundred rendered homeless in a conflict between two villages in the Mokolo Sub Division, Mayo Tsanaga Division of the Far North Region of Cameroon sources have confirmed.

Sources say the conflict that opposed two of the largest villages of the Mokolo Sub Division was provoked by a land dispute.

In the course of the confrontation, six people lost their lives and over one hundred homes were destroyed, rendering close to 300 homeless.

Apart from that, motorbikes, bicycles schools and other infrastructures were set ablaze.

As a result of the burning down of a good number of schools, students and other people who registered for the end of year examinations have had their slips and identification documents destroyed.

The Mokolo Sub Division has been one of the most prominent theatre for conflict especially that between the Cameroonian forces of Law and order and Boko Haram insiders.
