The Social Democratic Front will hold a meeting on Sunday December 30 to discuss the recent attacks in Bangourain that has left several families homeless.

The meeting will hold in Bafoussam and is open to all members and sympathisers of the party as it seeks ways to help those affected by the attacks, the Secretary General of the party Jean Tsomelou said.

Since Sunday’s attacks, stakeholders have gone down nto the field to offer support to the affected person. It is the case with the CDU party led by its Member of Parliament Hon. Patricia Tomaino Ndam Njoya who visited the affected persons yesterday to provie support.

The Minister of Territorial Administration Paul Atanga Nji was also in Bangourain yesterday as he was bearer of assistance from the Head of State.

He used the opportunity to reassure the affected persons that security will be beefed up in Bangourain and security forces will track down the perpetrators of the crime.

Over 80 homes were burnt on Sunday night as well as property destroyed after heavily armed men attacked the locality of Bangourain, Noun Division of the West region before taking off.

The attack also left one person dead and several others kidnapped as Cameroon authorities have blamed the attacks on separatist fighters in the North West region.
