Cameroon’s top flight, the MTN Elite I rounds off this weekend with match day 34 encounters played around the grounds in the country.

The major stakes of this final round will be the last ticket for the Caf Confederation Cup and the the last team to be relegated to the MTN Elite II.

Bamboutos of Mbouda who are third on the standings with 50 points are on pole to grab the Caf Confederation Cup ticket but will have to see off Yafoot in Limbe.

But if the Mangwa Boys stumble, then Fovu of Baham and New Stars of Douala both on 48 points could pounce on the opportunity as the face Stade Renard and Feutcheu FC respectively.

However, Bamboutos could have their way easy against an already relegated Yafoot who are waiting for their final counterparts to go down alongside Aigle Royale of the Menoua.

The team likely to join them is Stade Renard of Melong who need to win against Fovu and hope one of their three rivals above slip.

The three rivals are Unisport, AS Fortuna and Astres of Douala. Unisport have a tricky trip away to Colombe of the Dja and Lobo while Astres and AS Fortuna clash in a crucial game that could determine their fate.

Cotonsport of Garouawho  have already been crowned champions and UMS Loum as runners up will represent Cameroon at next year’s African Champions League. Yafoot and Aigle are already relegated while waiting for the final relegated team to be confirmed on Sunday.
