Cameroon’s Head of State, Paul Biya has received diplomatic credentials of two new ambassadors on 13 December 2018.

According to the Presidential website, the Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil – Her Excellency Vivian Loss Sanmartin opened the solemn diplomatic ceremony. She was followed by H.E. Khare Diouf of the Republic of Senegal.

Both diplomats received military honours from a special detachment of the presidential guard – positioned at the esplanade of the Unity Palace. They equally had separate in-camera discussions with the Head of State after the presentation of their letters of credence.

Ambassador Vivian Loss Sanmartin is a holder of a PhD in Diplomacy. She has served in Russia, the European Union, Paraguay, Argentina and Austria.

On his part, Ambassador Khare Diouf is an alumnus of the Cheikh Anta Diop University and the National School of Administration in Senegal where he studied philosophy and diplomacy respectively. He has represented his country in Guinea Bissau, Portugal, Japan, Gambia and Belgium.

Some close collaborators of the Head of State were present during the event including: the Minister of External Relations – Lejeune Mbella Mbella; the Minister, Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic – Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh; the Minister, Director of the Civil Cabinet – Samuel Mvondo Ayolo; the Commander of the President’s Special Command – General Emmanuel Amougou; and the Commander of the Presidential Guard – Lieutenant Colonel Raymond Charles Beko’o Abondo.
