Cameroon are expected to intensify training this week ahead of their upcoming Tokyo 2021 play-offs qualifying game against Chile.
The Indomitable Lionesses are expected for a third training camp that will run from January 27 to February 17 in Yaounde.
To this effect, head coach Alain Djeumfa has summoned 34 players for the training camp as he looks to continue keeping them in shape ahead of the double header.
This time around, Alain Djeumfa has summoned 12 foreign-based players to join the camp, notably, Nchout Njoya Ajara who has been in scintillating form since joining her new Spanish side, Atletico Madrid. She is joined by fellow forward Gabrielle Aboudi Onguene who recently celebrated her thirty second birthday.
Midfielder Raissa Feudjio is equally back in the squad after a lengthy lay-off but there is still no place for forward Farida Machia.
France-based Michelle Akaba, Grace Ngock Yango and Esther Mayi are also part of the squad same as USA-based Estelle Laura Johnson.
The team opened camp yesterday with the home-based players and will later be joined in the course of the week by the foreign-based players.
The winner of the play-off tie against Chile automatically qualifies for the Tokoyo 2020 Olympics which has been rearranged for this summer due to the COVID-19.
