Elements of the National Fire fighting brigade have been urging to stay alert and remain mobilised as the en-of-year feasts fast approach.

The call was made by the Commander of the National Firefighting Brigade, Brigadier General Mahamat Ahmed on Thursday, December 17 while chairing a meeting with all Regional Commanders of the National Firefighting brigade, to examine the activities of the year and equally prepare to better serve the public during this festive season.

Opening the meeting, General Mahamat urged his elements to remain committed professional in the discharge of their duties. For their job to go on smoothly, the population must also collaborate, he said while recommending safety measures should be adopted at all levels to mitigate disasters during this busy festive period.

After the presentation of the various reports by the Regional Commanding Officers and the Army Recue unit, the working group then brainstormed and came out with recommendations and guidelines to follow during this festive period.

The various Regional Commanding Officers are now charged to take these recommendations to their various operational units in order to sensitise their elements and keep them ready for any challenge ahead.
