There has been community mobilization to assist in the reconstruction of the dormitories burnt by a series of fire outbreak at the Presbyterian Secondary School in Mankon, last weekend.
Fire broke out in the late hours of Friday last week burning down part of the dormitory before students and the population rallied to put the fire out.
The next day in the evening another fire broke out consuming another part of the students’ dormitories but was equally put out.
To assist the school reconstruct the burnt structures, the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon launched special efforts last Sunday for Christians to chip in their own contributions.
The Member of Parliament for Mezam, centre, Hon. Nestus Fru Manju has also donated mattresses, buckets and blankets to the school to ease the pains of the affected students. The Member of Parliament for the Bafut-Tubah constituency was also on hand to donate items to the school earlier this week.
