The Archbishop of Bamenda, His Grace Andrew Nkea Fuanya has paid homage to His Lordship Christian Cardinal Tumi who passed away at the age of 91.

The death of the Archbishop Emeritus of Douala was announced early on Saturday morning by the Metropolitan Achbishop of Douala, His Lordship Samuel Kleda who said Tumi had pased away after a brief illness.

Tributes have been pouring in for the memory of the fallen prelate for the life he lived. One of those who paid homage is the Archbishop of Bamenda, His Grace Andrew Nkea who was in close contact with Cardinal Tumi during his last days.

“We kept praying and hoping that (Cardinal Tumi) will recover but from the way we were following the events, we began to pray that the will of God should be done. And so when the walled me at 2 O’ Clock in the morning to inform me about his passing, I simply said the will of God has taken its course,” Archbishop Nkea said as he bid farewell to Cardinal Tumi.
