Youth in the South Region have launched a campaign to sensitise the population on the strict respect of barrier measures in the face of the resurgence of the COVID-19.

Thus, an awareness caravan moved through the streets of Ebolowa last weekend to sensitise the population on the strict respect of barrier measures.

The Divisional Delegation of Youth and Civic Education of the Mvila, teams to the various neighbourhoods in Ebolowa to sensitise the populations on the respect of the barrier measures to fight effectively against Coronavirus disease.

This awareness-raising caravan, which included the Delegations of the Ebolowa I and II divisions, under the coordination of Yves Bertrand Ze, Divisional Delegate Mvila, sensitised the population on the importance of respecting the wearing of a mask, social distancing and frequent hand washing with soap.

The caravan ensured it made a stop at heavily populated areas in the town like the central market, bus stations and major roundabouts.

The awareness raising campaign falls in line with the circular from the Minister of Youth and Civic Education signed on March 8 relating to the reminder of government measures to fight the Coronavirus pandemic within the Ministry of Youth and Civic Education. The said circular insists on the effective implementation of the respect of barrier measures in all central and decentralised services of the Ministry.
