Workers of the Cameroon Telecommunications network, Camtel have been urged to embrace the company’s new vision in order to improve on productivity and customer satisfaction.

The call was made by the General Manager of Camtel, Judith Yah Sunday, during a dinner organised on May 1 as part of celebrations marking the Labour Day.

The General Manager lauded the entire staff for the job accomplished so far but stressed better is never good enough as she called on them to double efforts to take Camtel to its rightful position at the top and remain there.

On a day where workers present their plight to their bosses, it was not differet at the Cameroon Telecommunications as the staff delegate presentd a plethora of issues which they hoped will be given proper attention by management.

The General Manager said she is already looking into the plight of the workers and most of the issues raised have started getting a solution will more will be provided in the days ahead.

Amongst the solutions she has provided since taking over in December 2018, Judith Yah Sunday cited the payment of debts owed by the corporation to members of staff, the amelioration of the relationship between Camtel and financial institutions for the benefit of staff, regular and prompt payment of salaries amongst others.

She then threw the challenge to the workers to be assiduous so as to help the corporation generate income which will in turn solve their problems.

She called on each worker to be the number one brand ambassador of Camtel wherever they find themselves and equally frowned at a handful of indiscipline workers and insisted no defiant attitude will be tolerated in her drive to give a new impetus to the corporation as instructed by the Head of State HE Paul Biya.

It was also an opportunity to bid farewell to workers who were due retirement as the General Manager thanked them for their loyal services to the corporation.

The Camtel technical team equally basked in the General Manager’s praises as she commended them for their colourful display at the May 20 Boulevard earlier in the morning where Camtel equally used the opportunity to preach national unity and integration through their parade.
