The death has been announced of Cameroon’s first ever First Lady, Germaine Ahidjo, wife to former late President Amadou Ahidjo.
Reports say Germaine kicked the bucket last night in Senegal where she was in exile for about 30years today.
She died at the age of 89 after suffering from illness.
Germaine Ahidjo was Cameroon’s First Lady from 1960 to 1982 when her husband, the former President Amadou Ahidjo handed over power to the current Head of State, Paul Biya.
