The UK’s High Commissioner to Cameroon, Rowan Laxton has cndemned the brutal killing of at least seven children in Kumba, Meme Division of the South West Region.

The  children were killed last Saturday, October 24 when armed men invaded the Mother Francisca international bilingual school in Fiango, Kumba, opening fire randomly before taking off.

Last Saturday’s killings have drawn widespread condemnation both at home and abroad with the UK High Commisioner in Cameroon describing it as an unconsciosable tragedy and stressed every child has a right to education.

“Today’s killing of innocent children in Kumba is a terrible crime and an unconscionable tragedy. Every child has the right to education. The violence must stop immediately,” Rowan Laxton said.
