At least six separatist fighters were killed on Friday in Binka, a village in Nkambe, Donga Mantung Division of the North West by cameroon soldiers, security sources have said.

Sources said the armed separatist fighters had attacked herdsmen in the locality sparking up a fight before security forces intervened, killing at least six of them and arresting one.

Several weapons were also seized by security forces in the course of the operation, a source added.

Several others injured succeeded to escape but security sources say they have succeeded to tap out vital information from the armed man arrested which will help them track those on the run.
