The President of the Cameroon Party for National Reconciliation, PCRN Cabral Libii has announced that the party will distribute thirty thousand face masks to students and teachers ahead of June 1 school reopening as part of its support to the fight against the spread of the killer virus in the school milieu.

In a tweet posted Thursday May 28, Cabral Libii, national President of the PCRN indicates he announced Wednesday May 26 on Onze Millions TV that the party has set up a production unit for face masks.

In this light, the politician says a first consignment of thirty thousand face masks produced will be distributed to teachers and students who will be going back to classrooms next Monday, June 1.

“Our objective” Cabral Libii says is to provide one mask to each student and teacher.

Though cases of Coronavirus keep increasing in the country, the Government has maintained June 1 as the date for the resumption of classes for examination pupils and students and all university students.

Recently, a group of trade unions in the education sector wrote to the Prime Minister Head of Government Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute, threatening to boycott the resumption if the Government does not take serious measures to protect their health and that of the learners.
