Former Indomitable Lions captain Samuel Eto’o has been lined up alongside a number of African football stars for a gala match on January 7, 2019, against Senegal’s 2002 squad that reached the quarter final of the World Cup.

The match will be played at the Leopold Sendar Senghor stadium in Dakar ahead of the Caf awards the next day, local media in Sengal are reporting.

Other legends of the African game like Yaya Touré, Didier Drogba and Jay Jay Okocha have equally been lined up for the game, reports say.

It will be another opportunity to face the Senegalese team that lost to Cameroon on penalties at the finals of the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations in Mali.
