Cameroon striker Samuel Eto’o has dropped the lawsuit he filed against journalist Michael Dopass and his consultant Sebastian Eballa.
Both had been on pre trial detention at the Yaounde Central Prison for over a month but a decision from the judge Joel Albert Bias, of the Yaounde Court of First Instance, on December 27 dropped all charges against them.
Michael Dopass and Sebastian Eballa were both detained on the 28 November and 12 December 2009 respectively after Samuel Eto’o drop a complaint against them on grounds of defammation.
The duo had insinuated during a radio talk show on September 17, 2018 that the former Indomitabe Lions captain was at the centre of a same sex network with that bringing tangible proofs.
Eto’o’s lawyers then file a suit at the Yaounde Court of First Instance which led to questioning and later detention of the duo before the recent decision to free them.
