The Cameroon Professional Football League, LFPC holds its general assembly today in Yaounde to set modalities for the new football season that has just kicked off.
The assembly comes a week after the new football season kicked off with two match days already played so far.
On menu at the assembly today will be to set modalities for the new Elite One and Two football seasons in the country.
However, more pressing will be debates on the number of teams to participate in the Elite Two football season after the regional football season was cancelled last year by the Normalisation Committee.
A faction of the league and club President is in favour of an 18-club season without any team relegated given no team was promoted. However, another faction wants a 15-club season with relegated teams dropping to the championship.
The general assembly is also set to schedule the kick off date for the new Elite Two football season.
